Since the start of the year, I faithfully worked on it. Tried very hard not to start anything new (except the pair of peekaboo mittens for a friend.)
Then it was my sister’s birthday. And I asked her what she wanted and she asked me to work on this. (It’s actually her project, I’m just the knitter. Heh. And before you think I’m too crazy, I did refuse to weave in the ends.)
And then the boy asked, “Mommy, you make ME a fweater?” (His sister has two.) How can I say no to a kid who I’m quite sure will actually sleep in it when it’s done. So I’m also doing this.
Oh well. 🙂

You rock- and I can totally hear Joe asking you that and then smiling at you and you’re right. It’s hard to say no to that kid. Except when he’s having a tantrum. 😉

i made a queen sized log-cabin. it was A LOT of garter stitch. also on size 6 needles. so glad to have it now, though.
i, too have been suffering from a serious case of startitis. it’s weighing me down a bit. but that sweater is calling my name. or someone else’s actually.
speaking of garter stitch – with far too many projects on the needles (and several that just want sewing up or blocking), i have started this: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/curve-of-pursuit

I often frog items that aren’t any fun to knit. Knitting is supposed to be relaxing – not guilt ridden. I say you scrap the blanket or at least put it away for a month or two. Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
On the other hand, I love the sweater that little J picked out.

I love the sweater! My kids want me to make that too. That log cabin blanket looks great but I am not sure I would have the patience to work on it for so long.
I currently have two projects going that I don’t really like. Well, it isn’t that I don’t like them, they are just taking me forever! I see a theme of impatience running through my comment here. Sorry about that!
