Ugh.

My sweet nephew ( and he really is sweet) saw that J was crying in his high chair.  So he gave him my roll brush which Joe then used to pummel his taco.

J’s First Birthday!

Here’s the big birthday boy on his new ride-on (Thanks Aunt Karen and Grandma Kay!)  The party went well, we now have to clean out (which means give away) some toys for all the new ones to fit.  Anybody who has birthdays close to Christmas knows what I’m talking about.  L’s next up in November.  Anyway, we are so blessed to have so many friends and family that could make it and help us celebrate the big 1!

Yarn Addiction Hereditary?

L has been having trouble sleeping and been crawling into bed with us in the middle of the night.  Last night as she pulled the covers on I distinctly heard her say something about a yarn ball.  This morning when she woke up the first thing she said was something about her purple sweater that I made her.  Hee hee.

Musical Boy

Ever since J was born he has shown an affinity for music.  When I say affinity I really mean he stops whatever he’s doing and sways when he likes something.  It’s pretty funny to watch because it’s like he can’t stop himself.  Must.  Sway. To. Music.  Of course, WHAT he likes is a different story.  So far his diverse collection of favorites seem to be Uncle Troy’s cell phone, Puccini, the Wiggles, and the sound of the motor of the horsey at the grocery store.

Things you thought you’d never say or hear

“No, you can’t go over to neighbor’s house without your underwear.”

“And that’s why we don’t put french fries down our pants.”

“This is my new bed.  There is NO jumping on my new bed”  (Coming from a 3 year old!)

“I like shoeboxes.  That is why I pee in them.” (Same 3 year old)
