My name is Nicole and I’m a hoopy frood who really knows where her towel’s at. I’m also a thirtyish (I’m refusing to use the phrase “thirtysomething”. It’s so 80s. I’m sure it’s copyrighted somewhere anyway.) SAHM and non-practicing musician/teacher who has become a knitting/crocheting fiber addict. I have been married to my wonderful DH for 8 years (yes we got married in 2000 JUST so it was easy to count.) I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in January of 2008 and am now in the middle of reconstruction.

Holy crap, Estes totally counts for WWKIP day!
Hi ,
I wanted to reach out to you and the “Throws Like a Girl” readers with some information about the New York Liberty’s upcoming history-breaking “Liberty Outdoor Classic”. On Saturday, July 19th the Liberty will play the Indiana Fever in what will be the first regular season outdoor game in professional basketball history. The game will take place at Arthur Ashe Stadium (the home of tennis’ U.S. Open), and a portion of the proceeds from the historic game’s ticket sales will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Come be a part of professional basketball history on July 19th!

Hi there. I work for the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. We are going to start featuring patient blogs on our web site as a way to help other patients get a better understanding of the treatments as well as gain courage from your struggle. Would you allow us to include a link to you?
Hi Nicole,
I’m the Product Management Intern at Trusera, a network of people sharing real-world health experiences.
We’re currently focusing on building a breast cancer community and are looking to recruit bloggers to assist us.
I’m extremely interested in adding you to the mix. I’ve read through your blog and really think you can add a lot of helpful information to the Trusera site. The stories you’ve shared about your personal experiences with breast cancer are very interesting, informative, and well-written and would surely benefit others with similar issues. We would love for you to write for our website! and we are certainly prepared to pay you for your time.
If you’re interested please contact me at watson@trusera.com and I’ll gladly explain the details of the program to you.
If you’d like to check out Trusera,
our website is http://www.trusera.com
Take care,
Elliot Watson
